It’s hard to find a place where one can leave a feedback on you marvelous
myMoneyLog.
(Because, in particular, I don’t know the language of the site).
I would suggest you to create (somewhere in tabs menu’s place) one more
window which will show your affairs on a monthly basis. This is what I
mean: there you will see result of current month – money in the beginning
of the month and how much has left (or if you check previous month, how
much money were at the end of that month). Plus each month in this sheet
shout be unfold-collapse like “chart: expenses by category” menu in
“categories” sheet. So when you unfold certain month, in the fist line
you’ll see amount of money when the month begun then lines with expenses
(maybe summed up by categories) and the last line with money left at the
end of the month.
By the way, I renamed “mymonelog.html” to “mymoneylog.hta (htlm
application) and it worked great – no security notification as it could
be in IE)

Before you, I just had one feedback from a person outside Brasil, so besides I am concerned about a english translation I don’t keep a english blog about the project, just the google code site, sorry.
You can have a reasonable translation with the google translation tool:

and you can leave comments there.
I think you can have pretty much what you need from the “categories tab”, down to the table you have a “debit row” and a “credit row” by month and the balance of them, so you can preview how it’s going your expenses against your income, also you can change the chart type to “line (total)” and you can compare against previous months, correct me if I am wrong.
I use Firefox to work with myMoneyLog, I think the javascript speed makes it run smoother (nowadays I have more than 6000 entries).

A tempos estou interessado em começar a desenvolver novamente, sou do tempo de clipper 5.1 com seus linkers (rtlink, tlink etc) e as bibliotecas virtuais!
Tenho intenção de desenvolver somente baseado em navegador, softwares frontend simples e objetivos (como o seu! quem sabe até baseados no seu!).
Acredito que o conceito de execução e armazenamento na “nuvem” ainda são conceitos não muito aceitos pela grande massa de usuários, entretanto sabendo “até onde ir” dá pra criar um “bembolado” que seja palpável!
Em tempo, até 2005 fui MCT da Bras e Figueiredo e da Fasttraining (MSCE) e tenho 22 anos de experiência em tecnologia, o que precisar fico a disposição!

Você utiliza somente HTML para construir toda esta aplicação ???
O myMoneyLog foi feito utilizando somente HTML e javascript, a única exceção é um pequeno applet em java necessário para salvar o arquivo de dados nos navegadores Safari e Chrome, pois neles não há opção para salvar arquivos de uma forma “nativa”.
